The plain tapering surface of each handle is embellished with a convex ribbed design to the terminal.

A fine and impressive, unusual antique Edwardian English sterling silver commemorative box; an addition to the ornamental silverware collection.
This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver commemorative box has a plain rectangular form with rounded corners.
The subtly domed hinged cover of the box retains the original transfer depicting portraits of King Edward VII and Alexandra of Denmark in addition to the coat of arms of Leeds.
The cover is further ornamented with the presentation details ‘7th July 1908, Wilfred L Hepton Lord Mayor, Souvenir of the visit to Leeds, of the King and Queen. Presented by the Lord Mayor’.
