This is one of the early 19th century ironstone blue transfer serving platters. The condition is very good with minor staining on the reverse from age and use. No chips or cracks.

This is one of the early 19th century ironstone blue transfer serving platters. The condition is very good with minor staining on the reverse from age and use. No chips or cracks.

Stunning set of 18 English hand-painted smaller accent plates with gilt decoration, 9" diameter. The hand-painted floral centers encircled by gilt inner and outer borders with scalloped edge. The main border color is a hand-painted stippled lapis color almost as dark as cobalt. The mark on the back is Crown Staffordshire England. The marks places these lovely plates to circa 1905. The last picture show these plates resting on a larger all gold service plate.

This rare set of 12 English porcelain presentation plates was made by Crown Staffordshire and features heavy gilt decoration. The pieces have an intricate pattern consisting of a central medallion surrounded by arabesque elements, all of which are set on a textured ground. The foot rim of the plates have also been finished in gilt. This set of plates would be a wonderful addition to a collection of fine porcelain. An elegant and distinctive addition to any formal dining table.
