Erik Desmazieres Art
French, b. 1948
Erik Desmazières is considered one of the greatest contemporary printmakers, and has had more than 20 museum retrospectives in Europe, Canada and the United States during the past few years. In 2009 he was elected to the Académie des Beaux-Arts de l'Institut de France.
Desmazières was born in Rabat, Morocco, in 1948 and resides in Paris. He is a graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris and studied printmaking at the Cours du Soir de la Ville de Paris. He also serves as president of La Societe des Peintres Graveurs Francais.
Erik Desmazières is an intaglio printmaker of the Art Fantastique school, whose artists find their aesthetic antecedents in Bresdin, Piranesi, Callot and Durer. In addition to prints he is well known for his illustrated artist books and portfolios.
Desmazières' still lifes have an ethereal quality due to his close attention to detail and his grasp of atmospheric light. His work is included in major museum collections around the world. to

Artist and Model Howard Hodgkin - green and yellow etching watercolour gouache
By Howard Hodgkin
Located in New York, NY
This vibrant abstract orange and green print is part of a group of soft-ground etchings (Artist and Model, Artist and Model (in green and yellow), These…Plants) by Howard Hodgkin. The two versions of Artist and Model are printed from the same plates, but in different colors. In this iteration, green watercolor contrasts beautifully with marigold orange, crimson, and terra cotta red. Seen in all three prints is a bust in silhouette before a window. Artist and Model is a surprising name, as Hodgkin never painted or drew from a model.
Signed by the artist with initials, dated 1980, and numbered lower center in red crayon. Soft-ground etching with hand coloring in a yellow watercolor wash and green gouache on Stoneridge mould-made etching paper. Edition 100.
Howard Hodgkin was introduced to the etching technique used in Artist and Model (in green and yellow) at Petersburg Press, where this print was produced and where he would become a long-time collaborator. This technique allowed him to work fluidly and spontaneously, creating the moody interior scenes that mark Hodgkin’s work from the late 70s and early 80s.

Howard Hodgkin Late Afternoon in the Museum of Modern Art abstract black white
By Howard Hodgkin
Located in New York, NY
Abstract black, white and tan print of interior scene with dots, lines, shadow and painted brushstroke texture. Ideal for display in minimalist, modern and contemporary spaces. While British pop artists such as David Hockney and Patrick Caulfield numbered amongst Howard Hodgkin's circle of friends, Hodgkin's work is painterly, expressionist, and abstract.
Late Afternoon in the Museum of Modern Art by Howard Hodgkin. Soft-ground etching on buff BFK Rives mould-made paper. Edition 100: this impression 36/100. Signed by the artist, numbered 36/100, and dated 79 lower center in red crayon. Printed from the same plate as Early Evening in the Museum of Modern Art. Published by Petersburg Press.
This print depicts an abstracted scene, perhaps a sculpture in front of a window in the Museum of Modern Art, Oxford, in Hodgkin's signature painterly style. The expressive mark-making in this print is an example of the artist’s movement in the late 70s towards pronounced gestures. Hodgkin used his hand as a mark-making tool, combining these textures with loose and urgent brushwork.

Jane Goldman Contemporary Floral Luminous Color Etching Flowers Chinese Geishas
Located in Surfside, FL
Hand signed and dated intaglio etching in color. 1982
Corner Reflections #2
Jane E. Goldman was born in Dallas, Texas in 1951 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin. She is known for her high color floral and nature design painting, printmaking and teaching. Goldman's media include watercolor, oil painting, silkscreen, intaglio print, lithograph, relief, screenprint,. aquatint etching and terrazzo. "Lyrical realism," based on a combination of free association and direct observation, best describes her style. Goldman’s luminous prints reveals the artist’s muse in a graphically novel way. Her work pays homage to 19th-century naturalist and artist John James Audubon. Goldman’s sun-dappled still life compositions, sprays of cut flowers in glass vases and lush flora growing in natural environments frame each setting and cast shadows across opened books that display images from Audubon’s Birds of America. Jane Goldman...

By Howard Hodgkin
Located in New York, NY
Large black and marigold orange abstract interior scene of a bust in front of a window with fingerprints and painterly brushstrokes. Rich color and texture ideal for hanging in minimalist, contemporary and modern living spaces.
Signed by the artist with initials, dated 1980, and numbered lower center in red crayon. Soft-ground etching with hand coloring on Stoneridge mould-made etching paper.
This print is one of a group of soft-ground etchings (Artist and Model, Artist and Model (in green and yellow), Those…Plants). The two versions of Artist and Model are printed from the same plates, but in different colors. In this iteration, marigold orange contrasts beautifully with rich black ink. DH in Hollywood (David Hockney) Howard Hodgkin colorful abstract painting framed
By Howard Hodgkin
Located in New York, NY
Howard Hodgkin based this print on a trip he took to visit his good friend and fellow Petersburg Press collaborator David Hockney in Los Angeles. The mid-eighties saw new levels of abstraction in Hodgkin’s work, building exuberantly off the ambiguous spaces of his earlier work. The artist used six colors of paint, producing a unique depth and texture to each print in this edition.
Howard Hodgkin was introduced to the etching technique used in DH in Hollywood at Petersburg Press, where he was a long-time collaborator. Soft-ground etching allowed him to work fluidly and spontaneously, giving his prints the characteristic black brushstrokes seen in this print.
