Erwin Wending Landscape Paintings
Erwin Wending was an American abstract artist born in Freiberg, Germany. In 1914, following the completion of his studies at the Dresden Art Academy, he immigrated to the Land of Israel. In 1939, he traveled to Paris, to study at the Ecole des Beaux Arts. Following the German occupation of France in June 1940, he fled to London, where he received a grant to study at the St. Martin’s School of Art. In 1947, he immigrated to New York. His works have been displayed in numerous exhibitions in England and the United States.
