She graduated from the Teacher’s College of Yeshiva University in New York City and immigrated to Israel in 1968. She is held in high regard as both an artist and a human being. Perpetually fascinated by the world of art, Esther Bensimon originally fulfilled her yearning to become a part of it by weaving magnificent wall hangings. She was accepted, early in her career, as a member of The House of Quality, the prestigious Jerusalem artist cooperative where she opened her first studio.
