This silver cutlery set is kept in a sleek, glazed cherry wood showcase. The surface is shellac hand-polished. At the top there is a viewing window, from the front the three drawers, which are perfectly equipped on the inside, can be opened with the button-shaped brass handles. The showcase stands on four tall legs, which are protected from impact by brass covers on the feet.

History:
Vereinigte Silberwarenfabriken AG Düsseldorf - founded in 1899 by two of Anton's 5 sons (Anton Franz Hubert) Bahner: Anton Bahner jun. and Wilhelm Bahner. Two other sons had their own other businesses, silver goods factories: Franz Bahner in Düsseldorf and Louis Bahner in Berlin.
