Artist Commentary: Event 02.2000.015 is a one of an ongoing series of sculptures exploring my envisioning cosmic events and their existence in spacetime. This piece is also an exploration of combining different materials into sculpture. He received a BS degree in physics from Roosevelt University and worked as an engineer for 30 years. During those years he enrolled in art workshops and classes at a nearby community college completing courses in figure drawing, 2D and 3D design, ceramics, sculpting the figure, welding and metal sculpture. Artist Commentary: Bad Moon Ascending is a result of a lyric in the CCR song "Bad Moon Rising", the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and my sculptural pursuits of my "Event" series. Artist Commentary: I constructed this piece from the setters I used to fire the ceramic pieces of another sculpture along with some of the glaze test tiles. When I saw these "scraps" sitting together there was a visual harmony that suggested a new use for them.
