About: Architect and ceramicist Frédéric Bourdiec believes that an object must be understood. His pieces speak of the geometry of the city, the aridity of the HBM (French low coast habitations) where he grew up or of the brutalist and functionalist architecture of the 50s/70s. He thinks that mathematically and structurally everything should be possible, so he tests the constraints of the material, the oven, the cooking and the deformations.
