I like this contradiction of bringing new media or ideas together with old, traditional techniques and tools. We live in a time where images are created and deleted in seconds, and there are more of them than ever before. I'm interested in dealing with this topic in my artistic practice, using an old, traditional and “slow” medium like painting. How can volatility get depicted and how can the aesthetics of a digital medium be represented visually?
