Georges Dola was born in Dôle in 1872, was the pseudonym of Vernier Edmond. He exhibited in Paris at the Société des Artistes Français, where he received an honorable mention in 1909. Dola also exhibited in Berlin, Vienna and Paris and at the Cercle International des Arts, where he was a professor.
