This rests on a decorative footed platform featuring more' bronze mythological serpents at all of four corners. An American cut glass shade & globe complete this grand ensemble. The lamp is designed for a typical Victorian parlor. It was originally a kerosene lamp that was electrified with a single socket & an in line switch.
