New Modern Cigarettes and Cigar Ashtray in Black Marble, creator Chiossi Stock
By Michele Chiossi
Located in Milan, IT
Tuscan sculptor Michele Chiossi, has found in marble a medium to describe modernity with its myths and symbols, creating the Contemporary collection. An emoji can be a tray; an emoji heart, not necessarily pierced by an arrow, can be a place of creativity in the kitchen, a chopping board or a working surface; a dash; a zigzag; granting the marble a moment of levity, becoming vertical in a vase; reflecting an ideal image of ourselves. Unique objects to be experienced as a couple, to gift to friends, jewels of our daily lives. Time and smoke pass, ashtrays remain. As everlasting as marble, as elegant as a concentric circle of smoke spreading through the air. Chiossi revisits the most Classic of living room...

Mid-Century Modern Rosenthal Berlin Dinnerware Service for 12 + Serving Pieces
By Rosenthal, Hans Theo Baumann
Located in Chesterfield, NJ
Supremely elegant "Berlin" porcelain dinnerware set for twelve designed in 1956/57 by esteemed Swiss designer, Hans Theo Baumann, and manufactured in Germany by Rosenthal. This set has gold trim with a subtle shaded edge on a white backdrop. A timeless look that will never go out of style. On Hans Theo Baumann From the Design Museum in Munich - His output has made it into the history books. Once described as “a true master of German design”, he was among the protagonists who shaped the essence of “Made in Germany” and “Die Gute Form” in the wake of World War II – advocating a timeless and aesthetic design idiom. In 1959 Hans Theo Baumann (b. 1924 in Basel, Switzerland) was one of the co-founders of the Association of German Industrial Designers (VDID). Not only did he work with the top companies of Germany’s porcelain industry, he also joined forces with the architect Egon Eiermann, whose buildings epitomize the young German Federal Republic. Baumann joined Philipp Rosenthal at an early stage and spent some time working in India and Japan. For more than half a century, his often prize-winning and widely exhibited designs were a decisive influence on the German design scene. Clear-cut, timeless shapes, high functionality and a holistic approach typify his richly diversified output. Baumann’s successful products include dinner service and porcelain objects, tea and coffee pots, cups and plates, candle holders and vases. Philipp Rosenthal helped him launch his career as a porcelain designer as early as 1954. In addition to Rosenthal and Thomas, he counted Arzberg, Schönwald, Hutschenreuther and KPM Berlin among his clients, as well as other companies in Germany and abroad. Included are: 12 10.25" dinner plates 12 7.5" salad plates 12 6" bread and butter plates 12 coffee cups and saucers 11 5" soup bowls with 12 saucers 12 4.75" fruit/dessert bowls 1 coffee pot 1 tea pot 1 creamer and 1 sugar bowl with lid 1 footed gravy boat 1 covered serving bowl 1 17" rectangular serving platter...
