Harry Freeman, born in 1871, the son of a music engraver, Abraham Freeman and his wife Ellen, was recorded in census records living at home at 3 Noel St, Soho in 1881 and 1891. Harry Freeman was born in Long Acre and in 1891 in Bow St, by which time his father was dead and he was working as a picture restorer, living at home with his mother and seven younger brothers and sisters.

This fine antique George III sterling silver cream jug has a helmet shaped form onto a pedestal with a circular spreading foot and plain square base.
The upper portion of the body is ornamented with a broad band of bright cut engraved irregular undulating decoration.
The body of the jug is embellished with a pin struck and bright cut engraved decorated shield shaped vacant cartouche suspended from a stylized ribbon design.
The rim of the body is encompassed with an applied reed decorated border.

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver cafe au lait set in the George II style; an addition to our collectable teaware collection.
This exceptional antique George V sterling silver cafe au lait set consists of a coffee pot and hot milk jug.
Each piece of this cafe au lait set has a plain baluster shaped form to three feet, all in the early George II style.
The surface of each piece is plain and unembellished, accented with an applied moulded border to the upper rim.
Each piece is fitted with the original hallmarked domed hinged cover surmounted by an impressive cast silver pineapple finial; each cover retains the original hallmarked, detachable hinge pin.
Both the milk jug and coffee pot retains the original opposing scroll carved wood handle, fitted to cast and applied scrolling sockets.
The coffee pot features an exceptional cast silver swan necked spout ornamented with an undulating socket, the sparrow beak spout to the milk jug is ornamented with a decorative leaf formation to the nadir.
Each piece is supported by three impressive cast sterling silver feet ornamented with a scrolling foot to a shell design in junction with the body.
Condition
This antique sterling silver cafe au lait set is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The interior of the each piece has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece and part hallmarks to the sleeve of each cover, in addition to the hinge pins, are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the superior gauge of silver.
