His artistic inclinations were evident from a young age; he excelled in drawing and painting at the São Leopoldo Boarding School, where he received numerous awards in these categories.
He pursued higher education in Rio de Janeiro, where he completed his college studies in graphic design, a field in which he demonstrated remarkable talent and success, working for various advertising firms in both Rio and São Paulo. Jaimendes' art is primarily characterized by his figurative paintings, which often depict scenes of Brazilian daily life and social interactions, as exemplified in works like "Pool Hall" and "Grinding Sugar Cane". His vibrant color palette and detailed representations are hallmarks of his style.
