TAXI is a hand drawn limited edition lithograph by the well known and loved British artist and humorist, Beryl Cook(1926-2008). Printed using hand lithography techniques on archival Arches paper, 100% acid free. TAXI presents a satirical city street scene depicting a male businessman dressed in a beige pin stripe suit assisting a vivacious, curvy, curly haired "lady in red" into an iconic London "Black" cab. TAXI's amusing scene takes place in front of an intriguing backdrop of building construction complete with rubble and beams, where a nonchalant construction worker stands whistling by his steam shovel in the background as the spectacle unfolds.
