DESCRIPTION An intimate early twentieth-century Mallorca coastal landscape by Catalan painter Joaquim Terruella Matilla. Terruella developed a personal, vigorous language within the broad orbit of Catalan Impressionism. He exhibited in Barcelona, Madrid and Zaragoza, and his work is valued for its expressive handling of colour and its sensitive evocation of Spanish landscapes.
