An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of vintage George VI English sterling silver candlesticks made in the Regency style, an addition to our ornamental silverware collection These exceptional vintage George VI sterling silver candlesticks have a plain baluster form. Each candlestick has a baluster shaped capital ornamented to the lower portion with impressive embossed fluted decoration. The capitals retain the original detachable hallmarked push fit sconces, each embellished with an impressive applied gadroon decorated border accented with four shell motifs in the Regency style. Each candlestick has an impressive knopped baluster shaped column ornamented with further fluted decoration to the lower portion. The column of each surmounts a rectangular domed spreading base and plain collet style rim, which bears the full hallmarks in addition to 'Sterling Silver, Made in England'.
