One of a kind Art Nouveau German floral motif tankard, with engraved initials and floral patterns characteristic of Art Nouveau. Very fine work, circa 1895.. Amazing and beautiful beer mug, called Tankard, made in epeltre by the German metallurgy company Kayserzinn. In addition, the mouth of the jug simulates the beak of a duck, something that denotes the love for organic forms in Art Nouveau. At the bottom of the piece you can see the "KAYSERZINN" brand, a German metallurgy company founded in 1862, very prominent and prestigious in the context of the time. The brand items are numbered from the (fictitious) number 4000 onwards, marked with the word Kayserzinn next to it; just as seen on this tankard. The decorations that the brand developed were inspired by French floral Art Nouvau...
