This set is in extremely good condition with a magnificent wood storage cabinet and an amazing assortment of 29 serving pieces. Each of the main flatware pieces bear the hallmark of the French Government's "Head of the Minerva - 1" Hallmark, certifying a minimum of 950 sterling silver in addition to the Henri Lapparra manufacturer's sterling silver hallmark. Each of the vermeil dessert knives bears a Danish sterling silver hallmark and the manufacturer's hallmark (AR) engraved on the blades. The two salt cellars are by Odiot and also bears the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 hallmark in addition to the Odiot sterling silver manufacturer's hallmark. An absolutely spectacular collection of "Lily" pattern sterling silver flatware mostly by Whiting an assembled set from an estate collection which was started in the 1970's. The pattern was introduced in 1902 and features a stunning high-relief handle with stalks of blossoming lily flowers across the surface.
