Ancient stone marquetry work such as Pietra Dura and opus sectile is closely related to the jeweler’s art of marrying contrasting stones into a perfect whole, underlining Lara’s own design vocabulary. The graceful stone expressions concentrically hold the functional inner brass vase, which is removable. Named after the planet Jupiter, the new Jupiter vase features a brass bullet shaped vase and a base in 3-D milled Carrara marble. The vase can be removed from its rainbow shaped base. Handmade in Italy using a mix of handmade metalwork and 3-D milled marble parts. Please note that marble color and veining can vary as this is natural and unique material.
