"I was born in Colombia, South America and I arrived in New York City on November 23, 1963, the same day President Kennedy was assassinated. My dream was to be a working artist and live off the proceeds from my paintings. It was very difficult to be accepted, so I took a job designing stained glass windows, mosaics and sculptures and I painted in my personal time. Now, for many years, I am able to concentrate totally on my painting. I live on a farm in upstate New York and my studio is in a converted barn, along with my gallery. It is a great space to exhibit my paintings to prospective buyers. I have exhibited in this country and overseas, with shows in Paris, London, Venice, Belgium, Japan, and South America. The Greek myth of Medea, the enchantress who helped Jason, leader of the Argonauts, obtain the magical Golden Fleece, is a classic story of betrayal and vengeance. Like many Greek myths, this one too has a tragic ending. She was of divine descent and had the gift of prophecy and married Jason.
