They lived in Holland Park and were part of that area’s artistic group which included Leighton, Millais, Prinsep and Watts. In the 1890s they travelled of Paris to study at the Academie Julian with Jules Joseph Lefebvre and Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant.
