Lynwood Kreneck Art
Lynwood Kreneck is known for printmaking. He was born in 1936 and received his BFA and MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. Kreneck is Professor Emeritus of Art at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, where he taught printmaking for nearly 40 years. He is the founding curator of the exhibition series Colorprint USA and was instrumental in the development of water-based screen print inks and methods. Kreneck is represented in numerous collections that include the Art Institute of Chicago at Illinois, Philadelphia Museum of Art at Pennsylvania, High Museum of Art at Atlanta, Georgia, Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art at Shawnee, Oklahoma), Museum of Contemporary Art at Nashville, Tennessee, Silvermine Arts Center at New Canaan, Connecticut), Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center at Oklahoma City, Royal Museum of Fine Arts at Antwerp in Belgium and Springfield Museum of Art at Ohio.
