"The mountains of distant Joshua Tree National Park and numerous palm trees gracing this Rancho Mirage desert neighborhood are visible beyond the shaded wall. In the waning light, the largest palm trees are silhouetted against the sunset colors in both the sky and the pool. The geometry of the garden and pool deck is barely visible in the deep violet shadows."
