Pierre Guariche was a well known and collected experimental interior designer, furniture designer and architect. After World War II, manufacturing of materials and processes developed during the war were embrassed by a new wave of designers. Guariche founded an association called Atelier de Recherche Plastique or ARP with Michel Mortier and Joseph-André Motte that aimed to refine the manipulation of plastics within the household.
