Three Dog Night
By Michael Beam
Located in Buffalo, NY
The title for this work was inspired by the ruminations of Charles Manson in the 2010 publication Charles Manson NOW. “When you come to prison and you stay the fifteen years, all the dogs of the world are dead when you come back out, there is no dog that was a live when you were out last time. The three dog...

Canine Fantasy
By Laura Benjamin
Located in New York, NY
Original. Part of Candy Wrapper Collage series in Pop Art style. Natural wood frame. Inside a dog's dream. About the Artist: Benjamin received her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the American University in Washington D.C. and her Master’s Degree in Art Education from New York University. In addition she received an Associate’s Degree in Textile Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and studied at The Art Student’s League, The Parson’s School of Design and The New School. Benjamin taught art for 34 years. While on sabbatical from teaching she studied textile design. For the next 15 years she continued to teach, as well as freelance as a textile designer in both home furnishings and the apparel markets. In the mid 90’s her focus turned towards computer graphics, and as an art educator, she incorporated this into her curriculum. She was awarded for a “successful practice in crossing the digital divide through art and technology” by the United States Department of Education. Her early works were oils and acrylics. During the late 60’s her interest was in pure abstraction. Pop Art and the human figure began to interest her in the early 70’s. Gradually, Benjamin was drawn to experimenting with mixed media. In the 80’s there was the influence of a career in textile design that moved her towards a more decorative style. In the 90’s, she became involved in the teaching of computer graphics. This was to have a profound influence in aiding and developing a more recent “POP” style. She began to incorporate into her paintings, torn pieces of digital printouts of her subjects. “The part of me that is the “digital artist” became very inspired by the use of the computer as a tool with which I could manipulate my subject and its color energy. The “fine artist” in me was then able to incorporate these concepts into a new image on my canvas. Having always had an interest in mixed media, my current work is now a combination of both POP and Collage. Since 2008 I have been creating a body of work dubbed “Candy Wrapper Collage”. A juried show’s theme, “gluttony”, challenged me to ultimately explore my POP figures through a new medium….candy wrappers! Razor blades are my new paintbrushes and candy wrappers are my new paints. Utilizing torn, cut and expired candy wrappers and their packaging, I render my subjects in diverse and colorful forms. I create representational images of celebrities and pop-culture objects...

"SARAH" Painting (FRAMED) 30" x 24" inch by Isaac Pelayo
By Isaac Pelayo
Located in Culver City, CA
"SARAH" Painting (FRAMED) 30" x 24" inch by Isaac Pelayo Medium: oil and acrylic on wood Comes in frame Size framed: 32" x 26" inch ABOUT THE ARTIST: Isaac Pelayo is a head on crash collision between The Renaissance and Street Art. In a household where constant turmoil and violence were more apparent than most a young Pelayo met escape and peace within the confines of himself and his own creativity. Hispanic born in the heavy beating heart of Los Angeles on the seventh day of June 1996. Pelayo was caught in the crossfires of everything that surrounded him but art served as his only guidance. After dropping out of college Pelayo turned from his hyperrealistic pencil portraits to oil painting where his passions grew more immensely. As of today Pelayo’s work is most influenced and fueled by the crème de la crème of old master painters like Da Vinci, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, and Velazquez as well as graffiti artists such as RETNA, Shepard Fairey, and EL MAC. In 2017 his work caught the attention and landed in the firm grasp of renown rapper and collector Alvin “Westside Gunn” Worthy. He has created several album covers and artworks for the Buffalo rap moguls music label Griselda Records including his personal collection. Pelayo’s paintings are widely recognized and sought out from all over the globe. His collectors include Sean “Diddy” Combs, Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher, Jeff Hamilton, Shepard Fairey, Jaysse Lopez, and Everlast of House of Pain...

My Backbone and I
Located in Ibadan, Oyo
The central theme of the artwork revolves around the concept of love, partnership, and the strength that comes from sharing life's journey with someone you truly cherish. The portrayal of a woman standing behind a man is symbolic and highlights the significance of being someone's backbone, providing much-needed support and encouragement in every situation. The title, "My Backbone and I," aptly captures the essence of the artwork. It emphasizes the interconnectedness of the couple, where each person complements and supports the other, forming an unbreakable bond. This piece reminds us that true love involves more than just being there during the good times; it means standing together, hand-in-hand, through life's challenges and triumphs. In the context of the artwork, the woman's presence behind the man represents her role as a steadfast pillar of strength, constantly supporting and empowering him. This representation challenges traditional gender norms, debunking the outdated notion that women should always stand behind men. Instead, it celebrates the idea that a successful partnership is built on mutual respect, equal footing, and shared responsibilities. The artist, Michael Adetula...
