The focus is on the skating children in this painting, they really seem to move. This painting makes an impression due to the simplicity of the brushstrokes and the narrative that is told by artist Mitzy Renooy. The depth she creates with the use of color and composition is beautiful arranged. Mitzy Renooy finds her inspiration, people in their environment, movement and the ryhthm of life, Cuba, traveling. The loose painting style of Renooy developed during the last two years of her study at Academy of Classical Arts in Groningen under the guidance of her mentor Sam Drukker.
