Robert Arthur Goodnough: 1917-2010: Very important and well listed American abstract expressionist artist. He has had Auction results as high as $52,500 but sells for much more in galleries and privately online. This spectacular powerful abstract was most likely painted in the late 1940s as that was his style during that period. His style would change in the 1950s and then again in the 1960s. He is considered a second generation abstract expressionist after the first generation which included Pollock, Rothko and deKooning.
