Robert Russell Macnee Paintings
Scottish, 1866-1952
Robert Russell MacNee was a landscape and genre artist born in Milngavie, Scotland. He studied at Glasgow School of Art and is best known for his sunny farmyard and cottage scenes. His style is impressionistic and he can create a quality of light through a subtle palette and light brushwork that imbues his paintings an idyllic charm. MacNee has exhibited at the Royal Academy and also at the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts, the Royal Scottish Academy and in Paris.
