Rudi Sgarbi Art

Brazilian, b. 1975

Rudi Sgarbi was born in 1975 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is a versatile artist in search of a language that overcomes technical frontiers. His creative production is a libel in favor of the democratization of Fine Arts and leads us to believe that every work of art can indeed be in perfect harmony with the environment in which it is placed. Sgarbi’s referrals are the most diverse possible. From classical artists, he inherits the meticulous and complex labor of those who study biases of all artistic possibilities; from contemporary ones, the courage to expose and to recreate himself, and the attempt to achieve a multifaceted work that bears his signature. Noting the influences of the past and the every day, Sgarbi is always looking for new materials and new techniques of implementation. This search recreates and gives new meaning to his versatility, making him not restricted to just one style or a certain material, enabling his process to be a symbolic/artistic interaction, where intuition is always in the first place.
