Sam Marriott Art
1932-1997
Sam Marriott's work was highly sought after while he was alive. He was a keen follower of the Fernie Hunt in Leicestershire and would quite often be seen early in the morning sketching away. Marriott studied with John Kenny alongside Neil Cawthorne, he only had a few exhibitions and hardly promoted his pictures as he was forever critical of his work. His ability to catch full-blooded life in his oils was second to none, and his beautiful Seago style landscapes are tremendously pleasing.
