Sarena Rosenfeld was born in 1940 in New York. She holds degrees from Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles. Her parents were both artists, her father was an architect who also painted in watercolors, and her mother, Rosalie, was a painter, as well as a clothing designer and book illustrator. Rosenfeld paintings are difficult to classify, as they contain both fauvism and expressionist elements in a figurative setting. Her work is painterly, and she formulates her varnishes. Rosenfeld’s works are exhibited internationally, including in Europe and Africa. Cities within the United States in which she regularly exhibits include New York, Honolulu, New Orleans, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
