Sasmita Rout is a furniture and object designer whose work bridges traditional craft with modern design sensibilities. Rooted in a deep appreciation for architecture, textiles, and artisanal processes, her creations celebrate the tactile beauty of materials, from mother of pearl and brass to wood and woven fibers.
Her design philosophy centers on balance, structure, and storytelling, drawing inspiration from India’s architectural heritage, temple geometry, ancient craftsmanship, and textile traditions.
Through House of Jaipur, she continues to explore the evolving identity of traditional design, reinterpreting timeless techniques into contemporary expressions for global interiors.
