This piece began as a challenge to myself; lines and movement have always been a muse for me, and with this painting the idea was to render the figure with only one continuous line. I did not succeed, but I love the result nonetheless! A careful look reveals that the outline of the figure is in fact one continuous line, although the feet and accent lines are separate. While I'll continue to experiment with paring the figure down to as few gestural lines as possible, I hope this painting speaks to the minimalist ideal of saying a lot with a little. This painting is on gallery wrapped canvas with finished black edges. It comes ready to hang.
