English Ironstone Imari Platter
Located in Pasadena, CA
This is an exceptionally large English mid-19th century Victorian Ironstone Platter decorated in a beautifully detailed Japanese Imari pattern. The enameling is sharp with deep coloration and the overlaid gold is in very good original condition. The platter is marked "Stone China" on the reverse. The platter is in very good overall condition with normal patination and very minimal losses to the painted decoration. There is a bit of wear to the underside of the rim which does not detract from the value of the platter. Platers of this size are very uncommon and desirable. This piece could be installed as a work of art or even fitted with a custom table base...

To tell if Chanel boots are real, first, check to see if there is a style number. Normally you will find it printed on the lining next to the size. Replicas may not display any number apart from the size. Also, Chanel uses European sizing, which includes numbers starting at 35. If you see U.S. sizes like 4 or 8 printed on the lining, the boots are unlikely to be authentic. Find a selection of Chanel boots on 1stDibs.

No, R-WAY Furniture is not still in business. In 1992, the company closed, and in 1993, its assets underwent sale at auction. The closure followed a gradual decline in production that began after 1949, when a new owner purchased the Mattoon Manufacturing Company and changed its name to R-WAY. Saint Laurent boots are known for being true to size, but the shape of the toes may make a half-size up more comfortable for some people — but keep in mind that they’re made of leather, which stretches over time. Shop a large collection of Saint Laurent shoes from some of the world's top sellers on 1stDibs.

The Versace designer who made the “pants-boots” is Donatella Versace. Pop star and fashion icon Jennifer Lopez was photographed in 2018 in what is likely the best known pair of denim Versace over-the-knee boots, which are pants-like in appearance and feature the celebrated label’s legendary Medusa detail, pockets and a belt. They are a true fashion statement. The over-the-knee boots that Lopez wore back then officially debuted as part of Versace’s 2019 Resort collection. Singer Dua Lipa, who collaborated with Donatella Versace on a women’s collection in 2023, is also a fan of the brand’s denim over-the-knee boots. Find vintage Versace over-the-knee boots on 1stDibs.
