Tom Slaughter (1955-2014) has had more than 30 solo exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Vancouver, Germany and Japan. He has worked as a print maker in collaboration with Durham Press for 25 years and his editions are included in the collections of the MOMA and the Whitney Museum of American Art. He has published eleven illustrated children’s books including 123, One Some Many, Over Under, ABC x 3, and most recently Do You Know Which Ones will Grow? a 2011 Notable American Library Association book of the year, and his just published Boat Works form Blue Apple Books . His books have been translated in six languages. He has also worked as the Art Director for the New Victory Theater over the last eight seasons, producing the posters, graphics, playbills and billboards.
