Ulrich Gleiter's (EUR based) "In the Andalusian Desert" is an oil painting that depicts the textural hillside of a desert landscape. Bio/Artist Statement: German-born artist Ulrich Gleiter (b. 1977) is noted for his landscapes. His style is sometimes reminiscent of German expressionism and the Russian impressionists. He first studied at the Dresden Academy of Arts and later at the Repin Academy in Saint Petersburg, Russia. His work has been recognized with awards in the USA and in Russia and been featured in books and magazines. "Ulrich Gleiter is a citizen of the world. Born in Saarbrücken, Germany, he pursued his undergraduate studies at Dresden’s Academy of Fine Arts, where he learned to paint with the bold, colorful strokes handed down from the early 20th-century German expressionists. Students there prioritized their individuality — no one but you could have made this picture, they were told. Gleiter then absorbed a different view of artistry during his exchange year at Moscow’s Surikov Institute, followed by six more years at the Repin Institute in St. Petersburg. Today Gleiter divides time between Germany, Russia, and the United States, where he has become much admired among plein-airists in such scenic places as Colorado, California, and Wyoming. In our era of diplomatic tensions, when Crimea and Russia appear regularly in the headlines, Gleiter feels a renewed appreciation for nature’s timelessness — for its inspiring capacity to rise above the ins-and-outs of man-made problems. Today, he says, “I often think about the history of an area where I am painting, about how many troubles and beautiful things may have happened there. Most importantly, I am humbled to observe how natural forces never stop moving.” Gleiter turns his searching eye not only to wilderness, but also to the banalities of urban life — to parked cars, the glinting sprawl of an automobile dealer’s lot, retail stores, and even cargo ships. There, too — as in his portraits, nudes, and still lifes — he manages to find abstracted beauty and emotional significance in the interactions of light, color, and air." Empire Morning Sail, NY by Juan del Pozo is a beautiful original Impressionist cityscape painting, capturing the peaceful atmosphere of New York’s waterfront as the city begins to come alive. Measuring 100 x 100cm, the artwork is painted in oil on linen and depicts a tranquil New York waterscape, with an elegant sailboat moving across the water. In the background, the iconic Manhattan skyline rises beyond the river, with the Empire State Building standing prominently against the morning sky. Del Pozo’s Impressionist style is expressed through expressive brushwork, atmospheric colour and a sensitive treatment of light. Rather than focusing on precise architectural detail, the artist captures the overall impression of the scene, allowing the water, sky and distant cityscape to blend together through painterly marks and subtle tonal transitions. The composition creates a beautiful sense of space, movement and tranquillity. The sailboat provides a natural focal point across the water, while the vertical presence of the Empire State Building creates a striking contrast with the horizontal expanse of the waterfront and sky. The relationship between the peaceful boat journey and the monumental city skyline gives the painting a distinctive sense of New York character. The artwork’s atmospheric treatment of morning light brings warmth and freshness to the scene, while the reflections across the water enhance its sense of depth and movement. The combination of the iconic skyline and peaceful waterscape creates an uplifting interpretation of New York, balancing the energy of the city with the calm of the surrounding water. Signed by the artist and ready to display, Empire Morning Sail, NY makes a striking addition to a contemporary home, living room, bedroom, office, entrance hall or design-led interior. Its generous 100 x 100cm format gives the artwork a strong presence and allows it to become a distinctive focal point within a room. The artwork is particularly appealing to collectors of original New York paintings, Impressionist cityscapes, waterfront paintings...

"Reading" is a painterly contemporary oil painting of modern woman reading a book. A timeless image. A young brown-haired woman tilts her head doen as she focuses on the book in her lap. Her curly bangs fall over her eyes. Her pale skin is adorned by rosy cheeks and pink lips. She wears a striped blue shirt beneath a hooded blue sweater. A cup of tea rests on the table before her, on the lower right. The background is loosely depicted, in strokes of patterned color. Framed in a simple, modern floating frame. Signed "Carmody" in the upper left, recto. Carmody's work offers glimmers of inspiration from great modern artists like Henri Matisse, Edouard Vuillard, and Pierre Bonnard. Kelly Carmody has exhibited at venues including the Portrait Society of America and the Art Students League. Most recently, she was selected for the 2015 BP Portrait Award Show at the National Portrait Gallery in London and the 2016 Outwin Boochever Award at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C.
