Veronique Bonnardel was born in 1961 in Marseille and grew up in the Valley of Ubaye, in the Haute Provence Alps. This area is among her favorite sources of graphic and poetic inspiration. She graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Marseille. She also studied the History of Art and Archéologie at the University of Lyon.
