Vincenzo Monti Art

1908-1981

Vincenzo Monti was an Italian painter, open to suggestions of a naturalism moderated by expressionist influences and flashes of abstract art. An arduous supporter of color as the fundamental value of art and a highly expressive element, particularly of the red with which he molded landscapes imbued of light and shadows to female nudes, portraits and figures. Monti taught at the Macerata Academy of Fine Arts, and many of his works are in public collections in Italy and abroad.
