Rare “Chelsea” table by Vittorio Introini for Saporiti, Italy, 1960. Built-in extension leaf, ideal for four to six guests. During the 1960s and 1970s, Italian architect Vittorio Introini (1935-), became famous for his designs produced by Italian companies such as Saporiti ,Cassina and Poltronova. His Superonda chair, designed in 1966, has become one of his most famous creations. This wave-shaped chair became a symbol of 1960s pop culture and has been exhibited in museums around the world, including New York's MoMA and London's Victoria and Albert Museum. Introini has also worked on interior architecture projects, designing commercial spaces for prestigious brands such as Ferrari, Fiat and Alitalia.
