A two-seater sofa made in Italy between the 60s and 70s whose design is attributed to the historic Roman company, leader in the production of furniture made of bamboo and derivatives: "Vivai Del Sud" Purchased from us inside a villa on the Riviera D'Ulisse, these armchairs are part of a Vintage Outdoor Set which also includes a pair of armchairs which you will always find on sale on firstdibs on our dedicated page. Found already in good condition, with a solid and stable structure, this set was subjected to careful cleaning and polishing done by a professional with a specific product to resist the sun's rays. The upholstery was replaced by us with a custom-made one in white cotton, removable thanks to the zippers. the beauty of these 20th Mid Century Modern armchairs, and obviously of the entire set, is in the design that leaves the bamboo and cane as close as possible to its original appearance in nature. The effect achieved is a nod to primitivism, making it look like this set was taken from a jungle and transported to your porch. The thick bamboo canes that constitute the main structure are slightly bent and joined together with mini nails hidden by the beautiful and very decorative rattan bindings, which create braids with a complex section with a thousand shades of brown given by the patina of time and the variety of natural fibres. The idea of ​​leaving the head of the rod visible on the edges so that we can see the heart of the bamboo rods is splendid. The backrests and seat are made of a dense mesh of bent canes which give great comfort together with the 10cm thick cushions.
