Polish, 1931-2013
Born in Warsaw, Świerzy was one of the masters of Polish poster art. Graduate of the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts, from 1995 to 2011 he was the head of the poster design studio at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. His work is included in the collection of the MOMA and he won many prestigious poster and graphic design awards throughout his long and storied career.to

Bio: Robert A. Nelson (1930-2012) received both his B.F.A. & his M.F.A. in 1950 & 1951 respectively from the Art Institute of Chicago.
He was alto the recipient of the illustrious 'Purchase Prize' in the 31st National Exhibition of Boston Printmakers, and was later awarded the Cezanne medal from the government of France in 1961.
