1970s, Wilhelm Wagenfeld WG 24 Bauhaus Chrome and Domed White Glass Table Lamp
By Tecnolumen, Wilhelm Wagenfeld
Located in London, GB
1970s White opal glass domed shade table lamp originally designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld in Germany during 1924. Model WG 24. The lamp originates from an early reproduction by Tecnolumen in the 1970s. The glass shade is held onto the chrome-plated steel circular frame with three small screws which can be released when the shade requires cleaning, the bulb needs changing, storing or transporting. A vertical chromed-steel rod sits within a glass tube which supports the shade. A thick green-tinted glass circular base finishes off the lamp beautifully. The original on/off pull cord has been replaced with a chrome chain because it was frayed and about to snap. The lamp is in a very good vintage condition with some surface scratches on the base and a tiny 1mm chip on its edge. The makers label sits on one of the supporting arms to the shade. Makers stamp on the bottom of the chromed-metal rod underneath the base stamped - TECNOLUMEN BAUHAUS...

Wilhelm Wagenfeld Pair of Bauhaus Lamps
By Wilhelm Wagenfeld
Located in Barcelona, Barcelona
Lamps designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld. Manufactured in Germany by Tecnolumen around 1950. Stem chrome and shade white. Wilhelm Wagenfeld 15 April, 1900, Bremen, Germany — † 28 May 1990, Stuttgart, Germany, was an important German industrial designer of the 20th Century, disciple of Bauhaus. He designed glass and metal works for the Jenaer Glaswerk Schott & Gen., the Vereinigte Lausitzer Glaswerke in Weißwasser, Rosenthal, Braun GmbH and WMF. The “Wagenfeld table lamp,” also known as the “Bauhaus table lamp,” is probably the most widely known product of the Bauhaus metal workshop. A task assigned by László Moholy-Nagy to Wilhelm Wagenfeld, as his student at the time, gave rise to the design concept. The first model was completed in 1923 by Wilhelm Wagenfeld, on the basis of preparatory work by Carl Jakob...
