These exceptional antique George III cast sterling silver candlesticks have a hexafoil form to a knopped column onto a shaped base, all in the classical English form. The cylindrical hallmarked capitals are encompassed with bands of rope twist decoration and retain the original hallmarked detachable sconces. Each sconce is embellished with six shell designs and features the contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a wolf passant, collared with a coronet.
