Yamilet Sempé is a French-American artist who works in a boldly graphic abstract style visibly influenced by modernist aesthetics. She describes her color palette as being a reflection of her positive energy. Sempé loves being in nature, finding inspiration in the sea near her Florida home. The subtropical weather and the brightness of the sun guide her choice to use primarily warm colors. She is also influenced by painter Hilma af Klint and the architecture of Paris.
