This is a Lot of Autograph Letters by Zao Wou-ki, to the Swissh editor and graphic art collector, Nesto Jacometti, written during the year 1960.
A Correspondence (in French), composed of 4 Autograph Letters Signed by the French-Chinese artist, a Typewritten Letter Signed by Zao Wou-ki and 4 Typewritten letters by Nesto Jacometti.
Excellent condition, with some usual aging signs and some little stains on the lower left margin, with the two typical holes for storage on the left margin of the sheet. The texts are perfectly and completely readable. Signed "Zao Wou-ki" in Chinese ideograms.

Unique correspondance, written in 1960, between the Contemporary French-Chinese artist, Zao Wou-Ki and his mentor, the Swiss graphic art editor, Nesto Jacometti.
Thanks to these letters, in addition to be conscious of the technical difficulties Zao Wou-ki meets as an artist; we could know Zao Wou-ki as an intimate person with his second thoughts and his needs: as most artists he knocks on money, Wou-ki asks his Swiss editor and friend to help his elderly father solve difficulties in daily life, sending some Swiss francs. Moreover he adds: “(..) je suis obligé abandonné les travaux. Uniquement à cause de “Vertès”, quel merde!”: ( I am obliged to give up working, because of Vertès, that shit!”
In a very confidential letter, after a Chinese lunch with Nesto Jacometti, Zao Wou-ki writes a letter specifying the price list and the artworks (color etchings) chosen for the Hors and the Klipstein Catalogues.
