A massive and impressive glass decanter attributed to Empoli in Italy. Very much in the style of Blenko Glass. It consists of sculptural handblown amber glass with large stopper.

A vibrant cobalt blue glass vase from Empoli, Italy, crafted circa 1970s. Formed in cased glass, the vase features an inner layer of opaque white glass overlaid with luminous cobalt blue, creating depth and vivid colour saturation. Tall and slender, it presents a subtly flared rim above a pedestal base, all seamlessly moulded as one piece. Measuring 25 cm in height with a diameter of 7.5 cm. In good condition for its age and use, showing one minuscule nip to the outer lip, visible upon close inspection. An elegant example of vintage Empoli glass...

A collection of five Empoli amber glass pieces produced by the Stelvia Glass Workshop in Italy during the 1950s–1960s. Three of the decanters are attributed to designs by American glass artist Wayne Husted, created for the American market. Two examples retain the “Made in Italy” mark often associated with these exports. The group includes four decanters with stoppers and one apothecary or candy jar. All pieces are handmade using the pressed or molded glass technique characteristic of Empoli production, and feature the warm amber tone typical of Stelvia glass from this period. Condition is very good overall. One stopper has a small hairline crack at the base, which is stable and barely visible unless closely examined. Very decorative aubergine, amethist, plum coloured purple set of ten different size and colour Italian art glass bottles, vases and apothecary or candy jars. Mention Italian glass and probably everyone’s mind immediately leaps to Venice and Murano. But there is another almost equally famous centre of Italian glass making known as Empoli. Empoli glass is generally much simpler and does not have the intricately applied trim or decorations associated with Venetian and Murano pieces. The simple traditional styles of Empoli glass were quickly adapted to the abstract shapes of mid 20th century modernism. It became hugely popular as a decorative home accent, and was exported across the world. Now they are highly sought after by international collectors and look beautiful arranged together.
