This is a fine quality western wear cowboy (or cowgirl) hat made circa 1950's by the world renowned manufacturer "Bailey" located in Los Angeles, California who have made "cowboy hats for the stars" since 1922 when George Bailey started his company. The hat is in the traditional western wear "Cattleman's Crease" style with the appropriate turnings to the brim, and the triple wells to the crown. It is a size (7) (see label); and in excellent and completely all original condition with no stains or "sweat fatigue" and is still in perfect rigid form; hardly ever worn. Markings on the inside interior leather sweatband are gold embossed; "7x's Shantung" indicating 100% Shantung Formosan straw. The traditional "Bailey log is in gold and red and is stamped on the interior crown. There are three black ventilator eyelets to each side of the crown for air circulation. Made in Czechoslovakia in the 1930's, this fine quality lovely set is in excellent and all original condition.
