Once crowning a Belgian rooftop, this 19th-century copper weather vane has developed the beautifully mottled verdigris patina that only decades of exposure can create. The rearing horse silhouette lends movement and character, while the original directional arrow remains intact beneath.
Mounted on its original pyramidal roof base with integrated flashing, the piece was designed to be installed directly onto a roofline, making it as compelling as an architectural sculpture today as it was a functional weather vane more than a century ago.
