About Majio at Studio Anavami

Majio trained in the United States, Europe and Asia. Her most influential training was over a decade in Japan to study Buddhist Art, including traditional arts of Zen and working with masters in the cultural arts. Training included papermaking, kimono dyeing, and the process making pieces and firing woodburning kilns. This was more about how to learn or, better said, how to practice. From the many words for practice in Japanese, Anavami Studio is about the polishing of being.
